Serious injury collision, Plymouth

Police investigating a serious road traffic collision in Plymouth, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a blue Audi A1 and a pedestrian on Whiteford Road, at around 3.55pm on Thursday 9 January.

It was reported that the Audi A1 collided with two parked vehicles, a red Mazda and a red Seat, injuring a pedestrian who was next to them on the pavement.

The pedestrian sustained potentially life-changing injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

The driver of the Audi was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Both injured parties were women in their 70s.

Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team and local response officers attended the scene. Following an investigation at the scene, the road was fully re-opened at around 8.40pm.
