UPDATE | Murder investigation in Plymouth
Police have charged a man in connection with a murder investigation in Plymouth.
Mark Carpenter, aged 57 of Embankment Road, Plymouth, has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Harry Jackson [pictured], following an investigation led by Devon & Cornwall Police.
Emergency services were called at approximately 8.20pm on Monday 4 May to reports of a man with serious injuries at a property on Embankment Road.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Mr Jackson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Mark Carpenter has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Friday 8 May.
Detective Inspector Jo Rotchell from the Major Crime Investigation Team said: “This is a tragic incident in which a person has lost their life. Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Harry at this incredibly difficult time. We will continue to support those affected.”
