COURT | Group charged in drugs conspiracy

A group of men have appeared in court charged with conspiring to supply Class A drugs.

The seven men appeared at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 16 December. They are charged with the conspiracy between 1 August 2023 and 15 December 2025:

Ellis Boot, aged 33, of Daddyhole Road, Torquay

Zac Chancellor, aged 32, of Primley Park, Paignton

Reece Kendall, 33, of Walnut Road, Torquay

Philip Petas, aged 36, of Lime Avenue, Torquay

Ryan Tolley, aged 35, of South Street, Torquay

Luke Lea, aged 30, of Park Road, Blackpool, was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Dean Whitehead, aged 39, of Porters Drive, Weston Super Mare. He has also been charged with the being concerned in the supply of cannabis during the same time frame, possession of cannabis, driving whilst disqualified and with no insurance.

Six of the men have been remanded in custody, one has been released on court bail. They are next due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 15 January.

The charges follow a pro-active operation carried out by the Serious and Organised Crime Unit, supported by local officers, on 14 and 15 December.
