Assault, Redruth
We are investigating a report of assault in Redruth and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
It was reported that at around 10.30am, on Tuesday 6 May, a man was assaulted in an alleyway off Fore Street, in Redruth town centre.
The victim sustained injuries which are thought to have been caused by a knife.
It is believed that the victim and suspect are known to each other and enquiries are ongoing to locate the suspect.
Inspector Louisa Brown said: “We understand this incident may cause concern within the community and would like to reassure the public that we believe it involved two people who are known to each other.
“If you were in the area at the time or have any information that could assist our investigation, please contact us.”
