Appeal following assault in Exeter
We are appealing for witnesses following an assault involving a group of around six or more males in Exeter.
The incident took place on Tuesday 4 July, between 10.45pm and 11.45pm, on the Cathedral Green, close to the statue of Richard Hooker and The Holt pub.
It was reported the 20-year-old victim was approached by a group of six or more males.
The group shouted abuse at the victim before assaulting him with multiple punches and kicks to the head.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was subsequently taken to hospital.
Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, saw the group before or after the assault, or may have captured relevant footage.
