Fatal collision, Barnstaple

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a fatal collision in Barnstaple.

Emergency services were called to Belle Meadow Road shortly after 11pm on Wednesday 15 February to reports of a collision involving a Citroen Picasso and a pedestrian outside the bus station.

A 66-year-old pedestrian was located at the scene with serious injuries. He was treated in the ambulance at the scene, but sadly died.

The road was closed for about six hours while police investigated.
