UPDATED APPEAL | Bus passenger witnesses sought following assault in Torquay
We are continuing to appeal for witnesses and footage following an assault that would have possibly been seen by bus passengers and pedestrians.
Officers were called shortly after 4pm on Wednesday 21 October following the incident on Chatto Road, Torquay.
It was reported that two men were driving down Chatto Road in a van when a black VW Golf pulled up. Two men exited the Golf and smashed the van’s driver’s window.
During the incident the passenger’s coat was slashed several times with a sharp object and he sustained a scratch to his head. Both the men in the van were able to escape.
It took place during school rush hour in front of a Number 31 bus and also a school bus. As it was a busy time of day, investigating officers are keen for anyone who witnessed the incident – or who recorded it – to get in touch.
