Serious injury collision, Paignton
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious single-vehicle road traffic collision in Paignton on Tuesday 21 May.
Officers were called at around 9.40pm to the A3022, Dartmouth Road, following a collision involving a black Smart car.
A local woman in her 30s was taken to Derriford Hospital with life-changing injuries.
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene and has since been reopened.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
A man in his 30s from Bury, Lancashire, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink. He remains in police custody.
