We are currently investigating a spate of criminal damage having taken place in South East Cornwall in December.

All 15 incidents occurred on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and are all thought to have been committed late at night or in the early hours.

We received reports of graffiti being sprayed on both publicly- and privately-owned buildings and structures in the areas of Polbathic, Seaton, Downderry, Hessenford, Widegates, Crafthole and Looe.

The incidents have all seen ‘AI will replace us all’ and ‘AI will take our jobs’ painted on buildings.

We have released images of a masked person who we would like to speak to in connection with the incident who may be able to assist us in our inquiry.

If you have any information which could assist us, particularly anyone who may have CCTV or doorbell footage of people or vehicles seen in suspicious circumstances, then we want to hear from you.

Contact police via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference 50250328700.

Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling freephone 0800 555111.
