Fatal collision, Penzance

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information about a fatal road traffic collision in Penzance to come forward.

Police were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a white Honda motorbike, on the A30 at Eastern Green, Penzance, at around 2.35am on Friday 31 January.

The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Officers from the Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team attended the incident and carried out a detailed investigation of the scene.

The road was closed for several hours whilst the investigation took place and was reopened at around 11.05am. 

Police would like to thank members of the public for their understanding and patience.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information or dashcam footage that could help the police with their enquiries.
