UPDATE | Serious injury collision, A3052, Colyford

We are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision on the A3052, at Boshill Cross, Colyford.

At the time of the original appeal, officers were particularly keen to hear from the driver of an unidentified vehicle which was present at the time of the collision.

Following enquiries, it is now thought this vehicle was a blue van and officers are keen to talk to the driver who may have information that would aid the investigation.

We were notified at around 2.20pm on Monday 23 June to a report of a road traffic collision involving a silver BMW motorbike and a white Peugeot 2008.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 60s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. His next of kin are aware.

The road was closed for several hours whilst specialist roads policing officers conducted investigations.

It was reopened at around 9.40pm and officers wish to thank the public for their patience during the road closure.

If you witnessed the incident or have any information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries, please contact us via our website here or by calling 101 quoting log 455 of 23/06/25.
