Drug dealer jailed after warrant uncovers £30,000 worth of drugs in Torquay address
A Torquay drug dealer has been jailed for three years and four months after officers located nearly £30,000 worth of illegal drugs within an address.
Robson Cann, 30, from West Pafford Avenue in Torquay, appeared at Exeter Crown Court for sentence on Tuesday 28 July having pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and acquiring/using/possession criminal property.
During the sentencing hearing the court heard how on 8 June officers attended Cann’s home address to execute a warrant.
Once inside, drugs were located in the sofa, in a rucksack in the kitchen and in the bedroom.
Officers also found around £8,000 cash hidden under the bed.
In total, the drugs seized amounted to 173.9 grams of cocaine with a potential street value of £13,920, 1,474.8 grams of cannabis female flowering head with a potential street value of £14,055.364 and 1,480 grams of cannabis kief with a potential street value of £11,075.
Cann made no comment in interview.
Detective Chief Inspector Becky Davies said: “We welcome the sentence given to Robson Cann at Exeter Crown Court.
“Within Cann’s address officers found a significant amount of drugs that were otherwise destined for the streets of Torbay.
“Illegal drug supply devastates lives and we will continue to target those who profit from the misery of others.
“We continue to ask the community to report any concerns they have regarding drug-related activity, either on 101 or our website or by calling 999 if a crime is ongoing.”
