Our Torquay Neighbourhood Police Team has carried out another successful operation after seizing suspected drugs and a large quantity of cash.

Officers executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at a property on Old Torwood Road in Torquay on Tues 7 July. While searching the premises officers discovered several bags of white powder, along with numerous cannabis products, bags of suspected cannabis, hundreds of various empty ‘deal’ bags and around £1800 in cash.

Torquay Sector Inspector Rob Harvey said: “The suspected drugs will be sent to a lab for testing and a phone seized by police during the operation will be examined. We would urge the community to support us by reporting drug dealing in their area.”

Drug issues are one of the main priorities for local neighbourhood teams in South Devon and beyond. Recent community survey results tell us that the public feel drug dealing is an important issue and they want us to take action to reduce it further.

Anyone who has information for police about drug dealing in their community is asked to report it via 101 or the Devon & Cornwall Police website Home | Devon & Cornwall Police

If you wish to remain anonymous you can report to independent charity Crimestoppers via 0800 555111 or their website.
