Man charged with attempted murder after alleged incident in Plymouth

A man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged serious assault in North Hill, Plymouth.

Cameron Coyte, 26, of Amity Place in Plymouth, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court via live-link on Thursday 17 September.

It follows an alleged incident at the junction of Amity Place and Deptford Place at around 7.20pm on Tuesday 15 September which resulted in a man in his 20s being taken to hospital with serious injuries.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
