APPEAL | Hit and run collision, North Devon

We are appealing for witnesses and information following a hit and run collision on the B3230 between Bittadon and Muddiford on Wednesday 3 September.

The collision involving a dark coloured SUV and a green Ford took place at around 2.15pm.

It was reported that the SUV collided with the rear of the Ford, pushing the Ford across the road and into the oncoming lane at Sawmill Bend.

As a result of the collision, the Ford was left undriveable and its passenger suffered minor injuries.

The SUV then left the scene despite having sustained significant damage with smoke coming from it.

Despite an extensive search by units from Ilfracombe and Barnstaple as well as NPAS, the SUV and its driver have not been located.

Anybody with information which could help identify the SUV or its driver, is asked to contact us on 101 or via our website quoting 50250229305
