Information appeal as Callington-area burglaries investigated

Detectives are investigating several reports of burglaries to homes in Callington and the surrounding villages and are seeking the public’s help and vigilance to investigate and deter further offences.

Since Saturday 19 September, we have received reports of four separate burglaries in Callington, and two in the St Ann’s Chapel area.

Jewellery, cash and, in one case, war medals have been stolen and significant damage caused to some premises.

We are asking residents to be mindful of their home security when departing their property, leaving as few clues as possible that their premises are unoccupied.

If you have CCTV or a doorbell camera, please consider checking that they are in good working order and still recording footage to the media card or cloud storage.

Please report any suspicious activity to Devon and Cornwall Police, via 999 if you believe you are witnessing a crime in progress, or via 101 or our website here quoting reference number 50260251873, if you have valuable information.
